Mankind has lost the art and science of prayer. Prayer can be called an art, because some are gifted when it comes to prayer. It is a science because there seems to be laws and rules that govern effective prayer. Prayers seem to follow a systematic process and procedure that can be learned. Man seems to have forgotten how to pray and the need for prayer. The Prayer Research Institute is borne out of the knowledge that the Holy Spirit, – of whom it is written that because we know not how to pray the way we ought, the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us with groaning that cannot be uttered, – must be carefully followed and listened to in order to pray effectively. The Holy Spirit is dynamic and by virtue of His infilling power, we can never exhaust His infilling capacity. We must grow along in our walk with God.
